White Resin Fillings This type of filling material is the best made today. It seals the tooth at a molecular level. This means Atoms that are photosensitive harden under a UV light. This provides a great seal to the tooth, preventing cavity from forming under the filling.
Once the cavity is removed, an acid etch is preformed with a mild acid to prep the surface of the tooth to rough it up at a molecular level. Then an adhesive is applied and air is blown on the tooth to create a thin film. This is then photo cured. This is then followed by the filling material. which is then Photo cured. It is then filed down to incorporate it into the tooth. Adjust the bite if needed and done.
